Developed for practitioners with a working knowledge in the field of lameness investigations, the speakers will share tips, tricks and insights on the following topics: Subjective & Objective gait analysis; reliability and repeatability of nerve/joint blocks; how to approach multi-limb and –site lamenesses; comparison of radiography, ultrasound, scintigraphy, MRI & CT from a point of view of indications, usefulness & limitations etc.
Between both afternoons the attendees will rotate through 7 hours of practical sessions which will be held on live horses and cadaver specimens in small-groups (2-4 vets per ultrasound machine):
• Subjective Lameness Examination Techniques
• Introduction to Objective Gait Analysis
• Advanced Nerve & Joint Block Techniques (incl. ultrasound-guidance)
• 3 ½ hrs of working up cases (incl. blocking) with the help of subjective examination and objective gait analysis systems
