This day course is targeted at nurses in first opinion or referral practice that are involved in nursing dogs and cats with heart disease. Topics will range from basic themes as understanding common cardiac diseases and heart failure to more advanced themes as the nurses’ role in interventional cardiology. The meeting will be interactive and practically based, with tips on nursing patients with heart disease and diagnostic testing. An ECG and arrhythmia practical in the afternoon will allow small group training for those with no experience of ECG and those who wish to discuss challenging cases.
