This course is aimed at qualified veterinary nurses wishing to further their knowledge and work towards becoming a dedicated wound nurse within the veterinary practice.
The course is delivered in a blended learning format and via an online learning platform (Moodle) and includes two attendance days spread overfour modules. The themes include: Physiology of wound healing; Optimal healing and the role of wound dressings; Factors of healing delay and Implementing change.
Delegates are expected to attend both teaching days which are an essential component of the course.
Throughout the course students are supported by Georgie Hollis and the specialist panel from the Veterinary Wound Library (www.vetwoundlibrary.com) and membership to the Veterinary Wound Library is included for the duration of the course. This allows delegates and their practice to seek help for wound cases, including access to a wide range of wound product samples.
Attendance at the induction and teaching day is required to achieve the certificate and is an essential component necessary to complete the course.
