Cats with heart disease can pose a particular challenge to clinicians, displaying few signs of cardiovascular disease until they develop overt, and often severe, clinical signs.
This one-day course aims to provide a thorough review and update on cardiovascular disease in cats, with a focus on how to practically approach signs of heart disease, and what treatment options are available.
The five key things delegates will learn from this course are:
* Heart murmurs in asymptomatic cats: how to use the NTproBNP SNAP test to help your decision making
* A practical approach to the cat with respiratory distress
* Arterial thromboembolism: the good, the bad and the ugly
* How to treat and monitor cats with congestive heart failure
* The effects of common systemic diseases on the heart
Who is it for?
General practitioners with an interest in feline medicine, cardiology or both, or simply those wishing to improve their approach to heart murmurs in cats.
