This six week online course will cover many of the major drug classes used in small animal practice. The emphasis will be on enhancing participants’ knowledge and understanding of what drugs are indicated for which disorders as well as the how, when and why of drug action and side effects. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion on the use of drugs in patients in participants’ practices as well as case studies presented by the tutors.

Course materials are a combination of course notes, self-assessment exercises and discussion forums in which participants review and discuss cases with their colleagues and the tutors. The course will be helpful for RCVS CertAVP candidates enrolled in the Small Animal Practice module (B-SAP.1) as well as a variety of C modules. Participants can earn up to 42 CPD hours.
