Respiratory disease in the horse can be a frequent cause of morbidity and is often suspected of causing poor performance. This practically orientated course will discuss the most up to date understanding and terminology following the publication of the 2016 revised ACVIM consensus statement on Inflammatory Airway Disease of horses.
We will also take delegates through clinical presentations, a hands on demonstration of brochoalveolar lavage, and allow everyone time to individually review airway cytology case slides with on hand experts to ask for help and tips. We will round up the day with discussions on treatment and management of these patients. Delegates are welcome to bring details/cytology slides from challenging or problem cases for discussion.
