Most nurses in practice are involved in the care of patients requiring emergency surgery, and these lectures will cover common emergency presentations, including airway and abdominal crises. A brief outline of each surgical procedure will be covered, including the nurse's role during the surgery. This course aims to provide an enhanced understanding of surgical nursing in specific emergency surgeries, from approaching the patient, through to post operative care.
