The aim of this course is to provide a complete overview of the care involved with the bitch during pregnancy. The session will cover the pre-natal care required and what to expect with the normal whelping. Discussions will also include what to do in an emergency, when to get help with a whelping and providing the advice owners might require. Finally there will be a lecture on the caesarean section - assisting during surgery, anaesthesia, neonate resuscitation and immediate post-natal care. This lecture will be suitable for Veterinary Nurses of all levels.
