This course uses short presentations of key ideas in veterinary ethics and animal welfare to stimulate and facilitate interactive discussion. It turns general theoretical concepts into practical ways to improve one’s practice and achieve welfare goals, through decision-making, assessment and communication methods. Participants should be challenged, informed and inspired. Discussion and resolution of participants’ own ethical conflicts and conundrums are preferentially explored, alongside key issues in all areas of practice, such as euthanasia, informed consent, litigation, financial concerns and owner interactions.
