Every veterinary surgeon or nurse has seen it - a client at the end of their tether, with a pet on a tether (or in a box!). They’ve got a behaviour problem, and you’re the fortunate soul who’s got the last appointment with them on a Friday night.
Behavioural problems are a common occurrence. Fortunately, many have similar underlying causes, which with the right advice can be solved, enabling pet and owner to live in harmony.
This course is aimed at you, if you are often called on for advice by owners of pets suffering from behavioural difficulties, or if you are working with such animals yourself.
By gaining an understanding of \\\\\\\'normal\\\\\\\' cat and dog behaviour and basic problems you will be equipped to giving out appropriate advice and support and know when to refer to a specialist.
Delegates will consider:
* The origin of the dog and cat
* \\\\\\\'Normal\\\\\\\' dog and cat behaviour
* Frequently presenting behaviour problems
* Example case histories
* Behavioural characteristics
* When to refer to the specialist
Who is it for?
This course is recommended for veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses who want essential behavioural advice and guidance for their clients, and pet owners looking for help with their ‘difficult’ pets
