The College will provide theoretical and practical training which will support their paid employment. The units include health and safety in veterinary practice, animal health, essential veterinary skills, radiography, medical and surgical nursing. During the course students will complete a Nursing Progress Log as a record of evidence that competence has been met in various tasks.
Who is it for?
These courses are open only to candidates already employed in a TP veterinary practice. Students will be taught the specialist skills needed to become a veterinary nurse and be able to put the skills learnt into practice in the workplace.

This will be a qualified veterinary nurse or a veterinary surgeon.Canterbury College, Kent, Animal Care department has a state-of-the art animal and land-based studies centre houses over 200 animals, including a huge assortment of reptiles, mammals, birds, fish and invertebrates. We also have industry-standard practical areas, a live College Florist shop and work with local stables.
