This course will introduce the qualified and training nurse to the realities of wildlife medicine, addressing the goals that animals must meet in order to be successfully released into the wild. The process of handling, examining and treating wildlife will be discussed in detail and the legal responsibilities placed on the veterinary staff examined and clarified. The course will be of interest to all staff in practices treating wildlife, particularly those in rural areas and to those studying for the advanced NVQ in Nursing Exotic Species.
