About this course
During this four week online course the essentials of equine radiography and radiology will be covered. Participants will improve their knowledge in equine radiology and enhance their skill at reading radiographs. Specifically, the focus of this course is on radiology of the most commonly radiographed areas in equine practice, including the distal limb up to and including the tarsus, The online format will enable the participants to do this in their own time to accommodate the variable working hours of equine practice.
Radiographic cases covering the most common, but also not so common lesions will be presented for individual study, which will enhance the participants’ skill in examining, detecting and describing radiographic lesions. Improvement in radiographic interpretation will be assessed at appropriate intervals by use of online assessment exercises. Online group discussions will enable participants to share their opinions and experiences. Radiographic findings will be discussed in relation to their clinical significance with respect to the medical evidence available. This course will be useful for veterinarians preparing for RCVS CertAVP modules in large animal diagnostic imaging. Participants can earn up to 20 CPD hours.
