This online course is for practicing equine veterinarians throughout the world and runs over two semesters (July 2015 to February 2016) in Massey University\\\'s distance Master of Veterinary Medicine Programme (MVM).
The course includes: A systematic approach to working up a lameness case including differential diagnoses and formulation of a case management plan; knowledge of the treatment options, prognosis, management factors, complications, prognosis and costs of these treatments; the use of ancillary diagnostic aids in investigation of equine lameness and related conditions; the role of advanced diagnostic imaging procedures (including arthroscopy, CT, MRI, scintigraphy and thermography) in the investigation of equine musculoskeletal disease.
