The course is designed especially for pet professionals whose daily life is concerned with the health and welfare of cats and dogs
The course covers:
· The principles of first aid
· Handling and transportation
· Positive signs of health
· Resuscitation technique
· First aid situations – signs and actions
· Wound management and bandaging
A Pet Care Trade Association branded certificate will be issued on completion which will demonstrate to clients that you are keeping up to date with skills and knowledge. And will help reassure them of your competency to act responsibly if an emergency situation arises.
The course fees are £90 non-members, discounted rate for members £60

A one day interactive course delivered by a qualified veterinary surgeon, combining both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
The Speakers
Vicki J. Adams BSc DVM MSc PhD MRCVS<br /> Vicki grew up in British Columbia, Canada and qualified in Veterinary Medicine in 1990. Vicki worked in small animal general and emergency practice for seven years before returning to the University of Saskatchewan to complete a MSc and PhD degrees in epidemiology.<br /> Vicki came to the UK to start working at the Animal Health Trust in January 2003 as a Small Animal Epidemiologist. After six very busy years, Vicki left the Animal Health Trust in 2009 to start her own consulting business. <br />
