A case based consideration of Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy. Even after successful medical or surgical treatment, recovery from illness or injury can still take a long time and there is sometimes permanent loss of strength, mobility and function. the appropriate use of physiotherapy can help improve muscle strength and joint flexibility and support animal towards a quicker and more optima recovery.

The Speakers

Our speaker Brian Sharp graduated as a Physiotherapist from Brunel University in 1992 and worked for 14 years in human health care. In 2004 he completed the MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy at the Royal Veterinary College. He has a consultancy role at the Queen Mother Hospital (RVC), and his own small animal physiotherapy practice in Middlesex. He is a member of ACPAT.
