In this 60 minute webcast for veterinary nurses, we will consider some basic pain physiology and then discuss the various analgesic drugs available including opioids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and local anaesthetics. We will describe the concept of multimodal analgesia and also emphasise the importance of non-pharmacological measures of pain management.
