Recorded Webinar Plus: Chronic Kidney Disease In Cats And Dogs

Royal Veterinary College

Duration: 12 hour(s)
Cost: £199

We are offering the opportunity to purchase fully recorded Webinar Plus courses at any time of the year to suit your schedule.

Chronic kidney disease is a common problem seen in small animal practice particularly in cats. Although the condition can rarely if ever be cured, a patient’s life can be significantly extended by strategies aimed at preventing further damage to nephrons. Misconceptions remain however, about what management strategies are most effective and why. In this recorded Webinar Plus course important questions will be raised and discussed including: Which pets should we be screening? Why bother about blood pressure? Why change the diet? Can’t I just use a phosphate binder? What if they won’t eat the diet? When to recommend a biopsy?

This course last ran in June 2015 and contains all of the learning material (webinars, reading material, slides, self assessment exercises) from then, but is not tutor moderated. A set of FAQs is available which represent the questions and concerns previous participants have had and the tutor responses.

You have four weeks in which to view your Recorded Webinar Plus course. Courses can be purchased in advance and activated as and when you are ready to start. Your four weeks will start from the point of activation. When you have finished the course you may request a CPD certificate. If you require any assistance please contact the CPD Unit at [email protected] or 01707 666030.
