Webinar Plus: A Multidisciplinary Approach To Urinary Tract Disorders

Date: Monday 2nd October, 2017 - Sunday 29th October, 2017
Start time: 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
Duration: 4 hour(s)
Cost: £329

We see conditions relating to the kidneys and the urinary tract every day but some of them can become a challenge either in terms of requiring emergency management, or because they need us to consider both medical and surgical options for the patient. How can we best manage acute kidney injury in practice? What’s the best approach for a dog with a urolith causing a urethral obstruction? Will these bladder stones dissolve, should I do a cystotomy or is this dog eligible for lithotripsy? What can I recommend to reduce the frequency of FLUTD episodes? Incontinence is okay to manage if the drugs work but what are the options if they don’t? This Webinar Plus course will use the expertise of the internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and emergency and critical care teams from the RVC to delve into how best to answer these clinical conundrums and more.

The course will run over a period of four weeks. Learning material will be a mixture of two hour weekly webinars (which can be viewed live and/or as recorded versions throughout the course), online clinical case scenarios, discussion forums involving tutors and participants from around the world, and carefully selected supplementary reading material. The course will be of interest to all small animal general practitioners including those working towards their CertAVP in medical, emergency or soft tissue surgery topics. Participants may earn up to 16 hours of CPD.
