Date: Monday 27th February, 2017 - Monday 27th February, 2017
Start time: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Duration: 2 hour(s)
Cost: £50

Angiostrongylosis remains one of the most interesting and devastating parasitic diseases in the UK. Although the parasite’s life cycle is well understood we are yet to understand fully the full range of clinical signs that it causes. Why does it cause a coagulopathy which can lead to bleeding anywhere, unlike the other bleeding disorders we commonly treat? What can we do to prevent this disease and what does the future hold for its management? In this webinar we will discuss angiostrongylosis in-depth, the tests that we have at our disposal for its diagnosis and how we can effectively treat this disease.

This two hour webinar will take place from 12:00 to 2:00pm GMT including a 30 minute registration and familiarisation period prior to the commencement of the lecture. It is aimed at anyone with an interest in verminous pneumopathy, parasitic coagulation disorders and faecal smears! The webinar may be viewed live on the date indicated, or purchased for viewing at a later date. All participants will have access to the webinar for two weeks so they can review the presentations as many times as desired to embed learning. Participants can earn two CPD hours.
