Having recently changed its name from Wynde & Ashworth, the Phoenix Veterinary Group came in to being on December 2000. The practice has been in existence since the 1950s. Mr Holland Burkett ran it at this time from an old Victorian building on the current Cove site. He was an eccentric man whose hobbies included fast cars and flying aeroplanes. He was unfortunately killed when his plane crashed on one of his many trips to the continent. Rumour has it that his ghost still haunts the flat at Cove. We have an excellent team of trained nurses, nurses undergoing training at our approved training centre, and receptionists. They are all pleased to help and advise our clients.
