Our client is an award-winning, animal health organisation and one of the fastest growing companies in the industry. They specialise in producing innovative animal health products of the highest quality. We are currently working in partnership with them to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon in to a Veterinary Research Manager role. In this position you could be based from home or at their South Western office. The role will involve travel across the UK.
In this challenging and varied role you will manage all veterinary research and development projects, while also providing first class technical support and training to the UK sales team and answer product related enquiries. Principle responsibilities will include:
Managing all veterinary research and development projects, liaising with researchers and pursuing new research projects.
Work in conjunction with other departments to develop new and innovative products for the veterinary market.
Liaising with key opinion leaders at universities and referral centres to improve product awareness.
As part of the technical team, comprising four veterinary surgeons, other responsibilities will include:
Answering veterinary product queries and technical support for our UK sales team.
Develop and deliver training programmes for our UK sales teams.
Work in conjunction with the Marketing department to develop regular articles and product material.
Attending veterinary congresses in the UK and internationally.
The successful candidate will be a MRCVS with experience in small animal practice. Ideally you will have a PhD or previous experience managing veterinary research trials, although this is not essential. You will also be a skilled, confident communicator, highly motivated and ready for a challenge. This role has the potential to grow and develop over time so wed like to find someone who wants to progress.
