A client of JR is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join their team in the Aylesbury area. The role would suit a current Head Nurse or someone looking for that next step in their career.
The right person for this role would manage the friendly 23 Nurse and 5 PCA’s team at a modern, state of the art facility. This is a full-time position, working a 40 hour week Monday-Sunday, with some OOH cover when needed.
The role:
** Managing the team, organising rotas, handling the allocation and management of staff leave.
** Manage the general day to day running of wards and surgical schedules, including management of drug/ medication stock.
** Oversee the organisation of EMS and work experience students. Whilst supporting students, you will also be the nursing college point of contact.
** Liaise with the small animal clinical director and practice manager, regarding recruitment, team issues and replacement equipment etc.
