Head Veterinary Nurse job opportunity at a fantastic Veterinary Hospital practice situated in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
The practice is an established mixed animal RCVS accredited Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital with branches in the local area. As HVN you would be managing a team of 23 nurses and 5 patient care assistant who are part of a larger team of Vets, Reception and support staff.
The caseload here is varied, interesting and ranges from routine 1st opinion cases to more complex surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Your duties as HVN would include:
- Organising rotas
- Manage the general day to day running of wards and surgical schedules
- Stock management
- Oversee organisation of EMS and work experience students
- Supporting student veterinary nurses and nursing college point of contact
Within the HVN role you will work closely with the small animal clinical director and practice manager regarding equipment repairs and improvements, recruitment, team issues and wider management duties.
The salary bracket for this role ranges from £32,000 to £38,000 dependent on experience plus benefits package including:
