The practice is in brand new purpose built facilities which are to hospital standard including their own Hydrotherapy suite. They offer a specialist small animal veterinary services providing a first opinion care to local pet owners and a dermatology referral service for Northern Ireland pet owners in general.
This is the first and only veterinary surgery in the area dedicated to small animals. The practice is run by husband and wife team. At the practice, they strive to provide one-on-one, unhurried personal attention, detailed and thorough clinical examinations and a friendly, competitive professional service.
In their reception area, clients waiting with feline patients can sit in separate seating away from canine patients.
The practice caters to all budgets but strongly advises pet owners to insure their pets against expenses through illness or accident, so that they will never have to compromise on veterinary treatment for their pets. Consultations with their veterinary surgeons are scheduled by appointment.
They offer nurse clinics with free advice on nutrition, flea control, worming, vaccination, dental care and pet insurance.
This is a full time role working between 35 - 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday. The practice have the capability to offer a Head Nurse/Senior Nurse role or they can cater for the less experienced and offer an RVN role.
You would be required to work either 08:00 - 16:00/08:30 - 16:30 or 09:00 - 17:00 with no weekends being worked. There is potentially an on call rota which would ideally be 1 night each week, however this is negotiable for the right candidate.
The practice are looking for someone with an interest in Hydrotherapy but this is not essential.
The salary on offer would start at around 16k for a newly qualified RVN and then it ranges, up to 23k for a HVN role, however this is to be discussed and taken on a case by case basis. CPD is offered as part of a package too along with holiday and a fully self-contained flat above the practice as accommodation, should you want it.
To qualify for this position you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
