Our client is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their out-of-hours team. As a dedicated Emergency Clinic, you will be providing emergency out-of-hours services to local veterinary practices for nights, weekends and bank holidays, this clinic is located in the RCVS-accredited Hospital. Based in a beautiful area of Somerset you will see a good variety of small animal cases including exotics and wildlife whilst working alongside the amazing team, you will have the opportunity to attend routine socials and acquire a great support network and most of all a fabulous sense of humour. The successful candidate will be managing the telephone calls, arranging appointments and triaging patients upon arrival at the hospital allowing the remaining team to have dedicated time for inpatient care and consults as needed. Additionally, as part of your role you will assist and support the night team working alongside an RVN who will be looking after the inpatients and preparing for OOH surgeries, a twilight ACA who will support with animal care and infection control, and an on-site veterinary surgeon.
This role is a Full Time or Part Time role on a flexible rota, the hours of 7pm – 11.30pm must be covered. You will receive a competitive salary as well as a range of benefits including,
