JR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our client’s team and who is looking to take their first step into leadership, or someone who is already an established leader but passionate about inpatient hospital-based nursing. This role includes leading an established team to continue to provide patient care for all in-patients across all wards (cat/dog/isolation/ICU/exotic/wildlife).
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Help to facilitate the efficient and effective management of a varied caseload.
- Work alongside the Vet to provide nursing plans and care for all-patients.
- Ensure precise, efficient and accurate ward rounds are completed and carried out by the team.
- Take responsibility for the management of isolation cases.
- Practice good hygiene maintenance and completion of infection control check lists in all wards.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Maintain record keeping for kennel sheets anaesthetic and hospitalisation records.
- Ensure handovers are received actively for patients coming back for procedures.
- Actively lead and provide team briefings.
- Monitor intensive care patients.
- Taking responsibility for your patients from admit to discharge including pricing for all treatments and procedures carried out.
This is a Perm, Full Time role and offers a salary of up to £31,000 DOE.
