Our client is excited to announce a promising opportunity for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join their esteemed team. The role offers a competitive salary of up to £75,000.
The chosen candidate will have the chance to work on a diverse range of general practice 1st opinion caseloads. These caseloads encompass various areas such as dentals, diagnostic imaging, and orthopaedic cases. The clinic boasts a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy unit focused on patient rehabilitation, catering to those recovering from orthopaedic surgery, as well as clients with osteoarthritis and weight management needs. Additionally, our client offers support for physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with one of their Registered Veterinary Nurses currently enrolled in a related course.
With consults typically lasting around 15 minutes, there's ample time for thorough case workups. Our client prioritizes clinical freedom and case continuity while providing a supportive environment through their experienced team. They seek a candidate who is not only competent in their field but also embodies traits of friendliness, enthusiasm, and teamwork.
The clinic offers flexibility in working hours, with the possibility of up to 40 hours per week spread over 4 or 5 days. Weekend commitments include a 1 in 4 rotation for Saturdays, and no Sundays. They are open to discussing part-time and flexible working arrangements, recognizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance for their team.
The practice is located in the picturesque surroundings of Cumbria, surrounded by nature reserves, islands, mountains, and opportunities for outdoor sports. Equipped with modern facilities including x-rays, dental x-ray, ultrasound, laboratory services, and hydrotherapy, the clinic is committed to providing comprehensive care for their patients. Additionally, they are in the process of acquiring K-lazer technology to further enhance their rehabilitation capabilities.

The clinic currently comprises 5 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Vets, and 4 support staff members. Two of their veterinarians specialize in health certificates and travel-related services.
