Our client has an opportunity for a Vet Surgeon looking to take the next step in the career or an experienced Lead Vet Surgeon to join their supportive team that currently consists of 3 Vets, 3 RVN’s, SVNs and Patient Care Assistants. This is a well-established practice providing Cardiac ultrasound, Dental x-rays, a K-laser, an aseptic theatre and prep room, endoscopes and full in-house lab for bloods, bicohemistry and urine, separate dog kennels, cattery and exotic ward and lots of exotic cases, including birds, primates, reptiles, snakes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Veterinary team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative environment.
- Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose medical condition.
- Formulate effective treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of surgeries.
- Prescribe medication.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist in recruiting and training new veterinary staff.
- Manage the performance budget.
- Ability to provide compassionate care and ensure the wellbeing of all animals.
- Ability to medical conditions and treatment plans clearly to clients with empathy and compassion
- Critical thinking skills to diagnose complex cases.
- Make informed treatment decisions.
- Handle emergency cases and provide critical care.
This is a Perm, Full Time role offering a salary of up to £75,000 DOE as well as a range of benefits including.
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
