The role presents an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a team spurred by expansion. The position entails a diverse caseload encompassing both medical and surgical cases. Responsibilities are split between consulting and operating, with a notable emphasis on orthopedic cases. There's ample opportunity for professional growth, particularly in orthopedics, and an interest in imaging is encouraged.
Flexible rota patterns are tailored to accommodate individual preferences, ensuring a harmonious work-life balance conducive to personal and professional fulfillment. Out-of-hours work is managed by a dedicated night team, with weekend commitments averaging at 1:4, either on Saturday or Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.
Our client operates from a well-equipped hospital and four satellite branches, boasting a wide array of diagnostic and surgical facilities. The hospital has recently undergone expansion and is furnished with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, multiple surgical theaters, and comprehensive laboratory capabilities. Situated near Boston, the practice enjoys convenient transport links and proximity to scenic natural attractions, fostering a pleasant living environment.
The team comprises friendly, experienced professionals dedicated to upholding high standards of clinical care. Among the 15 veterinarians, many are pursuing further qualifications in specialized areas such as soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. Supported by a diligent team of Registered and Student Veterinary Nurses, as well as dedicated support staff, the practice cultivates a collaborative and supportive culture, ensuring newcomers feel welcomed and valued. An ideal candidate for this role is experienced in surgical cases, demonstrates proficiency in consults, and thrives in a team environment. While experience in orthopedics is advantageous, it's not essential.
