Our client is looking to recruit a permanent Vet Surgeon to join them for the following role:
**40 hours per week over 4 days
**Set day off per week
**1:3 Saturday mornings
**No OOH
This role is across two small animal practices, that are accredited by the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme in Core Standards and Tier 2 Small Animal General Practice. The practices are light, and spacious, and have recently been renovated. The hospital has two theatres, which are linked by glass, and all the necessary equipment such as digital X-ray, in-house blood machines, ultrasound, and dental radiography.
The day to day role will consist of 1 day of surgery, 1 day of consultations, and 2 days of a mixture of both. However, the practice could tailor this slightly if you have a surgical or consultation bias.
Candidates applying must be comfortable with all primary care duties, but they may be able to support a surgeon with more advanced procedures. You will have an experienced team of 6 Vets, a dedicated nurse and front of house team for support.
The practice primarily cares for small animals, but they are happy to provide first aid to wildlife and have worked with local aquatic and reptile shops, taking care of odd and interesting creatures like owls, hedgehogs, snakes, and even a baby dragon!
