My client based in Wolstanton, are experiencing an exciting period of growth. As a result, they have a fantastic opportunity for an additional Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
They boast a fantastically knowledgeable team of vets and experienced nursing team who regularly engage in clinical discussions about cases and learn from each other. Being a forward-thinking practice, my client is open to any ideas or suggestions to improve current protocols. They are extremely supportive and encouraging, offering various career development opportunities for the right candidate.
The role is currently a full-time position, 40 hours per week over 4 days; however, they are very open to chatting with those who are looking for part-time or flexible working. The role includes participation in the weekend rota (which is currently 1 in 4 Saturdays), and best of all, no OOH is required for this role! The clinic opens from 08:00 - 19:00 with phones being transferred to Vets Now at 18:00 to ensure everyone gets away on time, whenever possible.
A Bit About Them and Their Fabulous Team: Wolstanton is a growing practice with great facilities including 4 consult rooms, cat ward, dog ward, operating theatre, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and access to an endoscope if needed. Working alongside their wonderful nurse team, they have 3 vets who have been qualified for 2-15 years.
Their veterinary team enjoys all aspects of general veterinary practice. High-quality clinical care is of utmost importance to the team; they even thoroughly enjoy staged dentals. The clinical team routinely conduct audits, ensuring that they are always working towards gold standard first opinion pet care.
Within practice, they have an Imagyst machine for in-house cytology analysis, meaning they can get results back from FNAs etc within 2 hours. They also have SignalPet which uses artificial intelligence to provide support interpreting radiographs.
Strong Support for Amazing Care: They have a very strong management team who are keen to train and develop their team. They have a clinical lead nurse who is responsible for maintaining their patient safety awards and promoting clinical improvement and quality of care. They hold regular practice, vet, nurse, and reception meetings for open discussion. They're also a cat-friendly clinic and offer certificate opportunities for personal development, ensuring there is a 12-month plan of in-house CPD of the team's chosen subject areas.
