Petplan, the UK’s largest pet insurance provider, is delighted to announce that nominations are now open for its highly anticipated Veterinary Awards. Affectionately known as the Oscars of the veterinary world, the awards recognise members of the veterinary community who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their daily role.
Now in its fifteenth year, the awards recognise professionals across six different categories: Vet of the Year, Vet Nurse of the Year, Vet Practice of the Year, Vet Support Staff of the Year, Practice Manager of the Year and Petplan Insurance Advisor of the Year. Last year the awards received a record breaking 11,000 nominations from clients and veterinary staff alike, highlighting the fantastic work that goes on in veterinary practices up and down the UK, and this year Petplan is aiming for more!
Last year’s Vet of the Year award winner, Laura Pugh from Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital, Nottinghamshire comments on how it felt to win the award: “Winning the award meant the world to me. It felt great to know that my dedication to Ashfield House was appreciated, and that my clients were happy. There are so many talented vets out there so it was a huge honour for me to be named Vet of the Year!”
Simon Masding, Petplan’s Head of Sales and Partnerships added: “As the leader in the pet insurance market for over 36 years, we have a rich history of working with veterinary practices. We work with over 4,000 veterinary practices across the UK, more so than any other provider and the Veterinary Awards are our way to recognise and celebrate the fantastic work that goes on in helping keep pets healthy and their owners happy.”
Nominations open on Tuesday 1st October. To nominate a friend or colleague, visit www.petplanvet.co.uk where you can also find out more about the marketing support available for your practice to help you encourage clients to nominate your team.
