In 2012, ONCORE ePD begins delivery of a selection of online CPD modules, specifically for Vet Nurses, covering core areas of professional development.
Our approach is to provide fully structured, fully supported, collaborative online CPD (ePD), which allows you to learn alongside others in your profession, from the comfort and convenience of your home or office. You can have the benefits of a structured course - employing proven learning and teaching methods - with the flexibility of online study so that you can complete work when you have the time.
This is a very different method of delivery to most other providers (and they all have their benefits), but we are aiming to provide a genuine learning experience, with assessment and feedback every two weeks; and the benefits of studying with others and having your tutor on hand for support and guidance. All modules are run from our dedicated 'Virtual Learning Environment', where all your course materials, discussion forums and course information can be accessed from one place, and where you can 'meet up' with your fellow VNs studying on the course.
Modules are 6 weeks in duration, (24 hours study time spread over the 6 weeks), and involve great learning techniques such as discussion forums and creation of new protocols to take back into practice. We are covering some key areas such as personal development, ethics and communication, and will be developing further modules on an ongoing basis.
You will learn valuable new skills such as the ability to perform and evaluate research; consideration and adaptation of current protocols; sharing and reflecting on experiences; discussion of controversial topics with your colleagues; and much more.. All core and vital skills for the veterinary nursing professional...
