Virbac has taken over the distribution of the topical ectoparasiticide range, Activyl, expanding the company's growing parasiticide portfolio.  Activyl, a prescription-only range of products, is available in three spot-on preparations:  Activyl for Dogs and Activyl for Cats provide effective flea control, with Activyl Tick Plus for targeted tick and flea control in dogs.  Based on the active ingredient indoxacarb, they are effective against developing flea life stages in the immediate environment of the pet.

Virbac Product Manager Kate Woolley MRCVS says:  "Virbac is a global leader in parasitology and is using its knowledge and expertise to develop a portfolio of award-winning products.  We are delighted to add Activyl to our range of parasiticides."

Virbac's parasitology range includes Indorex®, the UK's no 1 household flea-spray¹, palatable wormer Milpro®, award-winning Prinovox®², a prescription-only spot-on endectoparasiticide and fipronil-based Effipro spot-on for dogs and cats.

Practices with questions about the distribution of Activyl are asked to contact their Virbac Territory Manager.

Founded by a veterinary surgeon, Virbac is dedicated to supporting the veterinary profession through the development of innovative products and services, which help animals to lead longer, healthier lives.  One of the largest independent veterinary pharmaceutical companies in the world, its wide product portfolio includes many market-leading and award-winning products for large and small animals.
