Veterinary imaging company BCF Technology has announced significant changes to the Vita CR X-ray system, making the new Image Suite software and operating system now solely for use on veterinary patients.
BCF in-house vet Kimberly Palgrave and radiographer Kat Evans, worked with Carestream at their headquarters in Rochester, USA to help with redesign of the Image Suite software. They used their combined expertise and feedback they have recieved from customers to make improvements to the systems software and algorithms.
The new software now includes features and tools such as an animal positioning guide which shows you the correct positioning and collimation for a number of veterinary projections and species along with an example radiograph. Additionally, all the standard manipulations you would expect and a number of advanced veterinary measurement tools including TPLO, vertebral heart, laminitis and TTA measurement tool, which all talk you through how to use them with simple on-screen instructions.
The image quality is improved with the new Vita as the software is working specifically for veterinary patients.
Kat Evans from BCF commented,
”It was really important to us to get this product right for the veterinary market. We invested a lot of time into ensuring the system works in a way that suits veterinary patients. The image quality is greatly improved, meaning easier identification of injuries. The Vita has improved workflows making use of the system simple despite the added functionality.”
The new version of Vita is available from BCF Technology now. To find out more visit www.bcftechnology.com or call +(0)1506 460 023 to arrange a demonstration.1801 views
