Julia Dando, Training Manager for the Society for Companion Animal Studies which looks after the Pet Bereavement Support Service with The Blue Cross, will be helping vets and nurses become more confident and comfortable in helping clients through one of the most difficult aspects of pet ownership, on a course in Gloucester on Tuesday 8 November.
The loss of a pet can be a highly emotional, stressful and sometimes traumatic experience for any pet owner and as a veterinary professional, whether a surgeon, nurse or receptionist, you are at the forefront of dealing with people on a regular basis as they go through some very difficult times. Often we hear questions from professionals in practice such as “what do I say?” or “what should I do?” when faced with those grieving the loss of their beloved pet. This course will help you approach those difficult situations in a sensitive and constructive way.
