‘Best Friend 2005’ Competition

Author: National Pet Week
Posted: Thursday 28th April, 2005. 00:00:00

National Pet Week is running a competition to celebrate the bond between people and their pets. We are calling on all pet owners in the UK to send us a photograph of their pet and to share with us why their pet is their best friend.

We know that pets make life more special for people of all ages and the competition will include a special category , ‘Best Friend’ for the under 10’s, as well as an overall ‘Best Friend’ winner for all age groups. The winners will be awarded a ‘doggie bag’ full of treats and be crowned ‘Best Friend 2005’.

We know it will be very difficult to pick one ‘purrfect pal’ so National Pet Week will also be awarding an overall second and third position and all entrants will be rewarded with a National Pet Week ‘Best Friends’ certificate.

So whether your furry friend is a cat, dog, ferret, gecko, guppy or budgie, we want to hear about it, please send a photograph of your pet and tell us in under 100 words what your pet means to you to:

National Pet Week Office, 3 Crossfield Chambers, Gladbeck Way, Enfield EN2 7HF.

We regret we are unable to return photos, so if you want to hold on to your memories you can send a digital one by email to - info@nationalpetweek.org.uk

National Pet Week will run from 30 April – 08 May and all entries must be received by 30 April. The winner will be notified by Friday 20 May.

We are also asking celebrities to send in photos of their famous pets and to tell us why together life’s better, so jump on our website and find out more about the National Pet Week celebrity supporters: www.nationalpetweek.org.uk

Make sure you have an entry form!
