BEVA is introducing a new facility at Congress this year to help time-pressed delegates manage their lecture attendance more effectively. The new Encore Room, sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health, offers delegates the chance to play back missed lectures at their convenience. BEVA Congress runs from 7th-10th September 2011 at the Liverpool Arena Convention Centre, Liverpool. The world class Science Programme is spread over three days, with five programmes running concurrently to ensure there is something to benefit everyone, but with no compromise on quality, rigour or depth. With such a vast choice of topics on offer, delegates often have to forgo some lectures in favour of others running at the same time but the introduction of the Pfizer Encore Room makes this problem a thing of the past. Now they will simply need to check in to the dedicated Encore Room in the Commercial Exhibition Hall, sit themselves down in front of one of the computer terminals and click on the lecture that they have missed David Mountford said: “It’s thanks to Pfizer Animal Health’s generous support that we have been able to provide such a useful facility this year. The flexibility of the Encore Room should make life so much easier for delegates who want to take advantage of as much of the programme as possible. Now they don’t have to wish they could be in two places at once!” This year’s comprehensive, stimulating and highly informative Science Programme will cover a wide range of topics including Treating the Competition Horse, Emerging Diseases, The foot and The Back, Reproduction and Neonatology, Clinical Pathology, Dermatology, Internal Medicine and Standing Surgery. The world-renowned Professor Leo Jeffcott will be giving the plenary lecture on the Evolution of the horse and its skeletal adaptation from browser to grazer and finally to Elite athlete. The sessions will be presented in a range of formats from traditional lectures through to panel discussions and ‘how to’ sessions. There is also a diverse and exciting social programme to celebrate BEVA’s 50th anniversary. Visit www.beva.org.uk to find out more and to sign up.
