Boehringer Ingelheim Hosts Cat Pain CPD Meetings

Boehringer Ingelheim, the manufacturer of Metacam®, is hosting a series of CPD meetings for vets on feline pain during October and November. The workshop style sessions will focus on the challenges posed by both acute post-operative pain and chronic osteoarthritic pain in cats. Several key areas will be considered during the meetings, including which conditions or procedures should be considered as potentially painful in cats, how to recognise the often subtle signs of acute post-operative and chronic pain in cats as well as current recommendations regarding feline pain management. The meetings will either be hosted by renowned anaesthesia and pain management specialist, Dr Sheilah Robertson (University of Florida), or RCVS and European Specialist in anaesthesia, Derek Flaherty (University of Glasgow), and behaviour and pain management expert, Samantha Lindley (University of Glasgow). Accounting for two hours CPD, the meetings will take place on: Monday 25 October in Glasgow Tuesday 26 October in Newcastle Tuesday 9 November in Leeds Wednesday 10 November in Birmingham Thursday 11 November in Peterborough Tuesday 16 November in Bristol Thursday 18 November in Reading Tuesday 23 November in Warrington Thursday 25 November in Maidstone The meetings will take place in the evening. Places are free of charge, but limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
