Paddy Gordon MA VetMB CertCHP MRCVS, the independent, highly regarded cattle health expert and Director of Shepton Veterinary Group in Somerset, has been announced as the speaker for the second of three highly pragmatic, free CPD webinars on bovine sub-clinical ketosis. The webinar has been organised by Elanco Animal Health, and will be held on Thursday 28th February. Vets can register now for this extremely popular webinar series at http://www.bovineketosis.co.uk Paddy will be discussing the monitoring of subclinical ketosis in dairy herds, assessing its impact and how to minimise the prevalence of this hidden but widespread problem. The speaker brings a wealth of first- hand experience of herd health management, having gained the RCVS Certificate in Cattle Health and Production and carried out prize-winning research into aspects of dairy fertility and health. This is a great opportunity to hear the very latest advice regarding the management of a condition of tremendous economic importance to farmers, from one of the UK’s leading practitioner experts. Paddy is involved with teaching at two veterinary schools and was until recently Chairman of Education on the British Cattle Veterinary Association BCVA council. His talk is the second of three webinars on bovine subclinical ketosis which are part of Elanco’s current focus on the dairy cow transition period. Although the talks are designed to run as a series, each one can also be viewed as a stand-alone CPD session by itself. Registrants for the second webinar will receive a link to view a recording of the first session, and will automatically be registered for the final one, to be held on March 21st. The third webinar will look more closely at the veterinary and nutritional aspects of ketosis prevention and treatment. Well over 400 vets have already registered for the series, so do follow the crowd, and book a place to see how The Expert deals with the commonly occurring, metabolic conundrum of ketosis at http://www.bovineketosis.co.uk For further information contact Elanco Animal Health, Lilly House, Priestley Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG24 9NL, Tel 01256 353131, Fax 01256 779510 Email [email protected]
