Ceva Animal Health UK, manufacturer of Cardalis®, is hosting two free webinars covering the diagnosis and treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF) in dogs.
Taking place on Wednesday 22 May, the first live online seminar is entitled ‘the diagnosis of heart failure – consensus or not?’. It will be presented by RCVS and European Specialists in Veterinary Cardiology, Simon Dennis BVetMed MVM DipECVIM-CA (Cardiology) MRCVS and Joao Loureiro DVM CertVC DipECVIM-CA (Cardiology) MRCVS from North Downs Specialist Referrals. The webinar will update delegates on the diagnosis of CHF in dogs, and specifically the ACVIM consensus statement on the diagnosis of canine chronic valvular disease. It will include information on whether there is a consensus for the definition and diagnosis of CHF, the role of simple tests such as circulating biomarkers and more complicated tests such as advanced echocardiography.
The second webinar will take place on Wednesday 5 June and is entitled ‘the treatment of heart failure – consensus or not?’. The talk will once again be presented by Simon Dennis and Joao Loureiro and it will cover the treatment of CHF in dogs and the ACVIM consensus statement. Topics discussed will include what represents ‘standard’ therapy of CHF and the options that exist for patients where ‘standard’ therapy is not effective.
The online meetings will start at 8pm and last for approximately 1.5 hours, plus question and answer time. CPD certificates and course notes will be provided. The webinars are free of charge, but places are limited and will be available on a first-come first-served basis. To register for the webinars, visit www.ceva.co.uk.2441 views
