Photo showing product being applied to cow LAME cows cannot perform to their full potential hence the increasing use of Bovi-Bond Block Adhesive, pictured, to help claw back profits lost due to lameness. Long popular with dairy farmers in the USA and Netherlands this 30 second block adhesive is equally ideal for use in this country. Bovi-Bond is a state of the art, fast setting adhesive used to glue blocks on bovine claws, a task that can be tackled by a vet, hoof care contractor or farmer. Simply clean the cow’s problem foot, then trim, rasp and balance her claw in the usual way before thoroughly drying with heat gun or hair drier. Then apply Bovi-Bond to a block, either wooden or polyurethane depending on ground conditions. Finally place the block on the claw and hold in place for just 30 secs before allowing the cow to put her weight on the foot after a further two to three minutes elevation. With neither fumes nor smells and no mixing required Bovi-Bond is safe and simple to use indoors or out. Available in packs with 2, 10 or 20 blocks from veterinary practices and agricultural merchants Bovi-Bond is distributed by Agrihealth Ltd, Farrell Supplies, BD Supplies and Steve Paul.
