Companion Care Vets Reveal Dogs For The Disabled As Its Nominated Charity

The charity is life-transforming, creating exceptional partnerships between people living with disability and specially trained assistance dogs.

Jane Balmain, managing director of Companion Care Vets says, “The transformation that an assistance dog can make to the lives of both adults and children is one that is truly remarkable and we are extremely proud to be working with Dogs for the Disabled as our nominated charity of the year.”

Jane continues, “Our network of surgeries is now 78-strong and growing across the UK and our team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff as well as our fantastic clients, will I am sure raised much needed funds and public awareness of the charity’s work.”

Fundraising efforts have started in style with an intrepid team of 17 Companion Care Vets staff from surgeries around the UK, including vets, nurses and practice managers as well as members of the support office team in Oxfordshire in training to cycle from Lands End to John O'Groats in May 2012. Their aim is to raise £50,000 for Dogs for the Disabled. The team is blogging about their training regimes and fundraising efforts and ask for as much support as possible for a fantastic cause.
