DEEP OSCILLATION® Reaches The Equine World

Gillyan Carter of Equi-Therapy^TM UK is now proud to announce the use of DEEP OSCILLATION® as a treatment for horses. Gilliyan is the first in Europe to offer this unique treatment to the equine world. Working in conjunction with Emma Hawthorne (Flawborough Equine & Hydrotherapy Centre) and Matthew Barlow (Home Farm Equine) the results have been outstanding.



In September 2007 Gilliyan was introduced to Deep Oscillatio® by Julie Soroczyn at PhysioPod UK Limited. Deep Oscillation® therapy has been successfully used in the human world for many years and some of the results can been seen at www.physiopod.co.uk. Gilliyan was initially approached to help treat a local horse with a hind limb dysfunction. After only a couple of treatments the results were phenomenal. Since then, after months of trials, Deep Oscillation® is now being regularly offered through Equi-Therapy^TM and as a treatment at Flawborough Equine.

Deep Oscillation® is non-invasive and non-heating and can therefore be administered from the first day of injury. It has successfully treated traumatic injuries and damage from overstraining, from tendon problems to haematomas. Deep Oscillation® has an anti-inflammatory and oedema-reducing effect which encourages pain relief and muscle relaxation. It stimulates the healing process by the regeneration of cells.

In contrast to externally applied mechanical forms of treatment (e.g. vibration), the therapeutic effect of Deep Oscillation® takes place in the tissue itself and works through the entire depth of the tissue. This causes Deep Oscillation® to be especially gentle and makes it an unmatched treatment alternative for fresh trauma, postoperative, acute pain and in the area of open wounds.
