Dr Ernie Ward and dog Elanco Companion Animal Health is sponsoring two hour-long seminars during the London Vet Show entitled ‘putting flea control back into (your) practice’. Presented by one of the leading global experts in practice management, Dr Ernie Ward, DVM from Calabash, North Carolina, USA, the seminars, which take place on both Thursday 15 and Friday 16 November, will focus on the importance of flea control to a veterinary practice and managing owner compliance. Preventative healthcare is vital business for veterinary practices and is key to engaging clients and delivering significant revenue. Worth approximately £75 million to UK veterinary practices, the business is under attack from other channels. Indeed, with pet owners increasingly switching to other suppliers due to price and convenience, vets need to consider ways to compete. Dr Ward will provide practical advice throughout the seminars. This will include guidance on veterinary practices becoming accessible at all times, through means such as online selling, and offering premium brands that are available exclusively from vets, such as Comfortis® for dogs. “By providing top quality speakers such as Dr Ernie Ward we are ensuring that veterinary delegates receive up-to-date information on essential elements of practice management to help build their business,” comments Rob Chapman, event director of the London Vet Show. “We are very grateful to companies such as Elanco for supporting the sponsor-led seminars which will complement the clinical programme organised by the Royal Veterinary College.” The seminars and workshops can be booked in advance when you register for the London Vet Show. If delegates have already registered and would like to book a place, simply access your details on the registration page and follow the steps through until you reach the seminars’ page.
