Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, manufacturer of the equine medicine Prascend®, is hosting two free online, evening webinars to update vets on the latest practical information on equine endocrine disease, including Cushing’s Disease.
Taking place on Thursday 4 August at 8.30pm, the first webinar will cover 'Diagnostic challenges in equine endocrine disease' and will be presented by equine internal medicine specialist Andy Durham from the Liphook Equine Hospital, who comments: “I’m really pleased to be involved with this innovative and educational series, and look forward to seeing how well equine practitioners enjoy the online format.”
The second webinar takes place on Thursday 11 August at 8.30pm and examines 'A problem-based approach to equine laminitis'. It will be presented by equine internal medicine specialist, Dr Catherine McGowan from the University of Liverpool. “I know from our own online equine CertAVP programme at Liverpool that there’s a big appetite for CPD delivered this way, and it’ll be great to see how this translates to a bigger audience,” says Dr McGowan.
Boehringer Ingelheim’s Craig Beck says it is increasingly difficult for busy practitioners to find the time for CPD. “Research tells us that the best time for many vets is in the evening, which is why we have opted for the 8.30pm start times. We are offering these two events for free, and the line-up of two highly respected equine medicine specialists should provide two very stimulating and educational webinars.”
Each webinar is fully interactive, with registered participants being able to pose questions to the presenters, and receive answers, during the proceedings.
Each webinar accounts for one hour of CPD. For further information, or to register for free, visit www.prascend.co.uk/webinars.4130 views
