Hill’s Pet Nutrition has been ranked the number one manufacturer of pet food by GoodGuide.com, taking top spot in each of the four pet food categories: dry dog food, dry cat food, wet dog food and wet cat food (

GoodGuide provides the world’s largest and most reliable source of information on the health, environmental, and social impacts of consumer products. Since 2007, this independent consumer goods rating website, has rated more than 95,000 consumer goods, including food, toys, personal care and household products.
Pet food is a new category for GoodGuide and their science and technology experts evaluated more than 1,500 pet food products on nutritional performance, caloric content, life-stage specificity and desirability of ingredients to determine the ratings. They also rated pet food companies on their concern for the environment and social responsibility. The result was that Hill’s brands swept the board.
