Lintbells Offer Healthy Start To Life For Puppies

The nutritionists behind some of the leading natural health products for dogs are launching a new puppy health supplement to veterinarians at BSAVA Congress 2011. YUM Puppy from Lintbells will be unveiled at the world’s largest small animal veterinary industry exhibition and already has a resounding endorsement from one of Europe’s top Akita breeders who’s been trialling it on his own dogs.

YUM Puppy acts in three key areas to support a puppy’s growth and development through the first year of its life. It focuses on promoting healthy digestion and growth, supports the immune system and aids brain and eye development.

Dr John Howie, nutritionist and co-founder of Lintbells said: “We have combined the finest ingredients to support the puppy’s growth and development and help it build a solid foundation for a healthy life. We are very much looking forward to meeting veterinarians at BSAVA Congress and explaining how puppies and whelping bitches will benefit from YUM Puppy.”

YUM Puppy contains proven levels of three key ingredients for puppy health. Omega 3 DHA is essential for healthy brain and vision development and can help improve a puppy’s training and development. Beta glucans helps to support the natural development of a healthy immune system and oligosaccharides provide a feed source for good bacteria in the digestive system to help support healthy growth and development.

Acclaimed American Akita breeders Marcel and Lene Huls, who have previously won Best of Breed at Crufts as well as the highest number of points ever achieved in Holland, kindly agreed to trial the product before its general release.

Marcel said: “Having used Lintbells’ Yumega supplement for some time I had no hesitation in trying YUM puppy on a recent litter. I was extremely impressed with the results. The puppies all developed well, they were more alert, smarter and their digestive health and growth was better than I would have normally expected.  When they went to their new owners many commented that they really were the picture of health.”

Lintbells Commercial Director John Davies said: “Considering Marcel and Lene only breed one or two litters of puppies a year and can command top prices for them, we were delighted that they were happy to be the first to use YUM Puppy and very pleased too that they have had such good results from it.”

YUM Puppy has been designed to help the litter from within the womb. By feeding it to a bitch before mating and during pregnancy and whelping, when her nutritional requirements increase significantly, it will ensure her omega 3 DHA levels are not critically depleted. It will also help her to get the most out of her diet to ensure puppy growth and development.

Lintbells will be launching YUM Puppy at the BSAVA Congress Exhibition in the NIA, Birmingham, from March 31 to April 3, where they can be found on stand 913. For more information please call 01462 790886 or visit http://www.lintbells.com.
