LocumPlan Introduces Cover Especially For Veterinary Practices

One of the leading names in locum insurance has launched a product especially for vets and veterinary practices. LocumPlan for Vets is available entirely online at www.locumplanforvets.co.uk.

The insurance provides comprehensive cover for vets or key members of practice staff who are unable to work because of illness or accident. Absence can have a serious affect on how a practice operates, and could leave the business facing a bill of hundreds or thousands of pounds for a locum.

The LocumPlan for Vets website has a simple online quotation calculator. Vets can adjust the level of cover and excess period for any number of practice staff to see how premiums are affected. The cover can range from £200 to £3000 per week which would be payable for up to 52 weeks after a chosen excess period. The excess periods available can range from 2 to 24 weeks.

Nick Miles, Managing Director, LocumPlan said: “It’s exciting to launch this product for the veterinary industry following the success of LocumPlan among other professional practices.

“LocumPlan has a 100% claims record since it was formed in 2000. The cover includes several important benefits, such as jury service, accident and illness overseas, and we also allow our customers to change cover mid-term if their circumstances change, such as when staff join or leave.

“Locum insurance premiums may also be eligible for tax relief, depending on a practice’s business circumstances.”

The LocumPlan for Vets website has full details of cover and how to apply online.
